Benioff Turns the Tables on Battelle: " Web 2.0 conference organizer (and B2.0 columnist) John Battelle got the tables turned on him during an interview with Salesforce.com CEO Marc Benioff. The loquacious CEO pulled out of Battelle that his former company, The Industry Standard, spent $6 million on Siebel software for just 50 sales people to use. Benioff, who has raised pointing out the flaws of his competitors to an artform, feigned outrage: "This is completely unacceptable! The Siebel thing probably brought down the whole company. This must be stopped!" Give Battelle credit, though. At least he did not dodge the question. "
