Apple's 10.2 Meltdown...
The Mac public is not happy. For the first time in years it's getting nasty. Anytime you hear comparisons between Apple and MS that are not favorable to Apple, you're in trouble. Especially when they come from the Mac fan base.
Macintouch is doing a wonderful job of collecting the reaction in it's 10.2 report. The stink is costing Apple sales and will result in a lower 'conversion rate/longer conversion period' for Apple. Imagine selling almost zero OS boxes between now and the release of 10.2. That's a months with no sales. Imagine the damage this is doing to Apples image.
Good move Steve...not!...mj

Two more in the Open Source camp
Interesting decisions:
A long time ago I said that the real damage to MS and it's monopoly ways would come from overseas. Bill can talk about the evils of the GPL (and I really am not a fan of him or it), but to other countries it looks like a way to free themselves from servitude. It also comes as Microsoft approaches the deadline for it's new Software Assurance plan that has caused such a storm due to higher cost and 'lock-ins' to MS software.
What happens if Apple does decide to move to x86?...mj
