Too late to stop the hangman? Missouri is determined to execute Joseph Amrine for murder even though every prosecution witness and the jury foreman now say he's innocent and new witnesses point to another man. Why? A federal law says the evidence came in too late. [Salon] ...this is when I am ashamed to be an American. This is the reason the Death Penalty must be abolished. What kind of Moron would push this case? What does it say about the justice system of this country? Who in their right mind would support this kind of lunacy? The man who decided to block the appeals and kill this innocent man...America's High Executioner -- John Ashcroft. When do we stop State Sanctioned Murder? When do we wake up to the insanity of taking a life based on the testimoney of fellow inmates? When do we just wake up and realize that this does not make us better people?
