Apple has a black eye
Imagine that you are a shareware or Freeware maker who has an iTools account. You create a cool little tool, app, game, or utility. You get posted on VersionTracker and people start to download your program. Apple then blocks access to your site due to bandwidth limitations they recently put in place. Suddenly, instead of getting your software, people get the image you see next to this post.
This is a PR mess for Apple. They are denying access to the very people they need the support of. They are hindering the spread of Shareware and Freeware. I understand the reason. Apple is concerned about the abuse of its servers by people. What they need is to find some happy medium that allows people to do what Apple needs...support the platform...mj
