Dull
Well, this is the last day for this particular Radio subscription. I won't be killing this weblog, but things may be static for a bit after the end of today. I need to decide if I move this site to some other hosting I have, or stump up another $40 purely to keep all of the links to this site active. I'm not sure if it's worth it. Blah.

Beg
My subscription to Radio Userland webspace, where this weblog is hosted, is about to lapse (3 days to go). As an experiment, I'm posting a Paypal link to see if anyone would like to contribute towards the $40 cost to keep this particular HTML-based show on the road for another 12 months.

Thanks in advance for any contributions, however small. Each donation will result in a scratch behind the ears for Spike and Stella, dachshunds to the stars.

Grief Porn (n.) Gratification derived from a tenuous connection to the misfortunes of others; the gratuitous indulgence of tangential association with tragedy; getting off on really bad news.

... It mostly affects people working in meeja.

Not to be mistaken for: real people feeling real pain. [Observer blog]

Tomorrows World
Like every popular TV show, Tomorrow's World also attracted bizarre viewer correspondence in green ink from time to time, including a persistent man who claimed to have "found the Earth's volume control" and, if the programme didn't feature his story, he would "blow the whole thing wide open".
