This story on the BBC News site contains a great bit of writing/sub-editing : "The chunk of space rock is higher in extra-terrestrial material than any other meteorite and may belong in a class of its own, say researchers at London's Natural History Museum."
Correct me if I'm wrong, but all meteorites are by definition, let's see, um, 100% extra-terrestrial material. Do they mean that the meteorite is bigger than any other found? No, it's a small meteorite by the look of the photograph.
Ah, later in the article they clarify - it's higher in extra-terrestrial organic material than any other meteorite so far discovered. I assume they mean proportionally by mass.
I've sent them a comment. Amusingly their error reporting feedback form sent me to a URL which is giving a 404 at the moment.
I must nip out and get my "Pedantic shithead" T-shirt back from the dry cleaners.
