Warren Ellis of die puny humans says:

Click Opera It's the Livejournal of musician Nick Currie, who's been recording under the name Momus for nigh on twenty years. Click Opera is probably one of the best blogs written in English, and you should be reading it too.

He's right.

The Shipping Forecast
I love listening to the Shipping Forecast. It's like phone sex for meteorologists.

If weblogs merged:
The Manly Smell of a Green Fairy
Little Red Geezer
My Boyfriend is an Aquarium
Raised by Oranges
City of Toast

I think that's sufficient.

(All linked to in my navigation list, in case you wondered. I did add links originally, but it looked like a pile of arse).

What is going on
I've come over all analogue. I'm writing in an old-fashioned notebook with one of those pen things. There is no undo or cut-and-paste, but you do get exceptionally long battery life. It's a really good implementation of a pen interface, by the way. I'm sure that it's the way forward.

My photography has slowed down a good deal since my digicam packed up. I'm having to shoot film and get it scanned. In the meantime, I'm painting. Yup. Abstract. Oils. It's a bit like digital photography, except the viewfinder is much better and the shutter-lag is monumental.

Some weeks ago I went to my first proper football match, Chelsea versus Liverpool at Stamford Bridge. Anna of l.r.b was there too, (though sadly I didn't see her at the time), and she blogged it, saving me the trouble. I really enjoyed it, much to my surprise.

I have a couple of web design jobs which may happen, but not for a while. One is a new site for a friend who is about to start his first BBC TV presenting job, which is pretty amazing.

There also the possibility of setting up a site for a company that sells Brazillian lingerie. They are interested in me doing the photography for the site, including a gallery of women modelling the underwear. Or did I dream that one? No. It's real. If they decide to use me. (Would it be in bad taste to ask for prayers for this? Probably. Forget I mentioned it).

Meanwhile, I've got my eye out for some kind of paid employment to take me through to January (and possibly beyond), so if you know of any vacancies for a generally useful techie/arty/photo/human type person, please point them in my direction.(CV)

I'm still available for contract work, so if anyone needs some web design or, more interestingly, web development, drop me a line. Recent work has included a website and CD-ROM for the Chelsea Fine Art MA Degree Show, 2004. (Credit to Rachel Barbaresi for the design and me for putting it all together). I've also been doing some work for charidee, but I don't like to talk about it.

There is more, but if I post too much about myself in one go I get dizzy and my nose bleeds.

To the Batmobile!
