A thought strikes me after reading this and many other links to related stories and comments on the new lunacy being spouted by greed-ticks fighting to keep their heads buried in our backsides (read: wallets).
How about whenever a content envelope (web page, dvd, etc.) temporarily takes over my content revealer (browser, dvd player, etc) the content envelope owner pays me a small fee for using my device?
If the price of a brand new dvd is cut in half and all I need to do is promise to sit through 30 minutes of ads maybe I could start the movie before I start dinner...
