Morning by Morning Devotional:
"When thou hearest the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees, then thou shalt bestir thyself."
-- 2 Samuel 5:24
Christian, in yourself there are times "when thou hearest the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees." You have a peculiar power in prayer; the Spirit of God gives you joy and gladness; the Scripture is open to you; the promises are applied; you walk in the light of God's countenance; you have peculiar freedom and liberty in devotion, and more closeness of communion with Christ than was your wont.

Daily Devotional:
Samuel was afraid to tell Eli the vision
-- 1 Samuel 3:15
Without the sovereign hand of God Himself, nothing touches our lives. Do we discern His hand at work, or do we see things as mere occurrences?

Memory verse: 1 Corinthians 10:13 (tsk)
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
