"An odd note perhaps. We're looking for workgroups to test our upcoming product. Here's the announcement for Frontier users and for Radio users. The new app runs in either UserLand environment, with a few small differences. With your help RCS will be a big success. Here we go!"

Looks like the file sharing hooks I imagined are just private.

WOW! That's two weblogs.com OTDT updates in a row I succesfully recieved.

Weblogs.Com On The Desktop - What the #*@^# is going on with this thing? Most of the time it refuses to connect and grab the data file. If I route around the Proxy it appears to work fine, but then out of the blue with proxy in place it does connect. I'm at a loss. There has to be a way to fire off this event for troubleshooting purposes. I just need to figure it out before it drives me completely crazy!
I do now. Thanks to the above DG posting. Now when I type TSL in quotes you'll see "TSL" - sweet!
UPDATE: I thought I'd better elaborate for those who might be interested in this feature, but unsure how to go about it. Step by step instructions can be found here.

>>> More Jessamyn - two great links from her site:
Overdue, a library comic strip. I especially liked this one, as it's the kind of misunderstanding we have at my house all the time.
Jenny post a link to a couple of great resources. Subscribed to the comic and skimmed the Fortney article - good stuff! I think I'll print it at work and give it a thorough reading sometime.

Life of a one-man IT department: "I do consider the input you have here, and the stories we all share on our own little corners of the web, to be just as interesting, and fun, as sitting in a pub drinking a pint of Guinness and sharing stories in real life. (Yeah I'm Irish, I like Guinness, so what?!? *L*)"
Where do I start...? Mike McBride's captured the essence of blogging for myself (and i imagine) thousands of others out there as well.
Mike has also put into bytes, the type of blog that I want(ed) LibTech to be - the diary of a one man IT dept for a relatively average library system. Complete with tips and tricks as well as commentary on topics of interest to peers.
>>> Dave Liebreich reads the tea leaves on UserLand's strategy, and his thinking is quite reasonable, however it is not our strategy. The next move will happen next Monday, Murphy-willing. One more week before you see the full scope of the network we want to build. We're going for broke folks. You're going to be surprised. (But surprise is good, otherwise life would be flat and hohum.) Oh man! I'm thinking hooks into file sharing cloud of some kind or another. Cool!
Good thing I don't have a webcam or you'd see a 30 something acting like a little kid on their birthday right now. I can hardly wait!
