A few notes on blog formatting:
From an news aggregator - I like Jon Robb's inline quoting style <<< and >>> makes it easy to denote text from a cross-blog post from your own comments. Also refering the source of the cross-post should follow a format similar to this [via LinkToPostSource]
From a bookmarklet - RadioExpress uses EMPHASIS tags to quote selected portions of postings which makes sense as you're pulling the text out of context when selecting it from the original post and posting via the bookmarklet tool.
I'm going to attempt to use these guidelines when blogging in the future.

Tools : "xManilaBloggerBridge v2.2: With this Tool you can configure Radio 8 to automatically mirror posts to your Radio weblog to a news-item oriented Manila site, a Blogger site, or any centralized blogging tool that supports the Blogger API. This is a modified version of Dave Winers's tool. > Modified to post to multiple Manila/Blogger sites from multiple categories, be they news item or vanilla Manila blogs. < Author: Steve Hooker; Released: 2/20/2002."
Installed and functions quite nicely posting to Blogger, although posting to Movable Type presents some problems. Working with MT support we've pretty much determined that the problems are a combination of Radio's WYSIWYG editor and the way MT recieves post from the editor via the BloggerAPI.

The Shifted Librarian: "Otherwise, it's 500,000 blogs and I can't find the needle." Jenny offers up a simple and excellent improvement to RU (or any other blogging software out there) to allow for better indexing - metatags. Could this also be used as a "Related Info..." mechanism as well?
