GigaDial does the IPOD Shuffle

If you read this blog through a aggregator you probably didn't even notice my new Gigadial station located in the left gutter.

What's a Gigadial station (it's actually more then a station, it's the next step in Audiobogging/Podcasting community)?

GigaDial.net is a new approach to radio programming. You can use it to create and subscribe to podcast-powered stations composed of individual episodes from your favorite podcasters. To subscribe, browse the list of recently updated stations below, or the list of all stations, and then point your podcatcher at the station feed, linked from the XML button on each station's page.

What's my Gigadial station about?

What podcasts am I listening to this morning?.

Every weekday (sometimes on the weekend too - no promises) morning I update this station with the audioblogs and podcasts that I selected (that's right selected, interation baby!!) and loaded onto my MP3 player for the morning drive to work.

What's the IPod Shuffle?

If you have a flash based MP3 player (like the new IPod Schuffle) and listen to PODCasts with it as you travel to work I think you can relate to what the morning IPod Schuffle really is:

First, you plug your USB/Flash memory (~512MB) based MP3 player into your PC.

Next, we reclaim all the MP3 players' flash memory space by deleting off all the existing MP3 files.

Then it's over to our favorite podcast directories like audio.weblogs.com or www.podcast.org (and hopefully in the near future your favorite Gigadial stations) to SELECT and dowload the MP3 podcasts using your Broadband connection (it takes about a half hour to download more then enough quality PODCasts to listen to on your way to work - with many to spare).

Take your shower, unplug the MP3 player with the newly dowloaded MP3s and it's schuffle off to work.

That my friend is my daily "IPod Shuffle"!!
