Open media questions for Marc

Openmedia questions/thoughts in progress....

First I like to start with some high level openmedia.org questions:

1) Will openmedia.org have huge storage for content?

2) Will openmedia.org have huge bandwidth/Internet pipes to serve content?  If so,  will I be able to use that bandwidth to server my content?

3) Who will pay for the above?

4) Can I think of the openmedia.org site as a layer between my PMS and the Internet Archive, other repositories etc.?

5) Why and what short term benefits does open media give my media content? 

6) If my media contect goes away (I delete it from my Internet Media server), will open media stop serving it from open media's servers? 

Then I like to move onto some Internet Archive/content repository questions:

1) Is the main goal in the short term to get Creative Commons videos to the Interent Archive through open media? 

2) Can other sites become affilate repositories like Internet Archive? Will that process be open for all? 

Since we now have the above out of the way, lets ask the right technical questions to form some ideas to write requirements to get some PMS work started and into the cloud/mesh:

1) Is the PMS a thing/server created by openmedia.org or a protocol or both?

2) Also posted on openmedia WIKI: I have a question along the lines of the grand vision of the openmedia.org website. I use what I call the Audioblogging Gateway to store my public audio files. I send the Audioblogging Gateway mp3 files I created multiple ways. The Audioblogging Gateway's main task is to store and serve MP3 files I created to the public Internet. Because it is a audio gateway, one of the roles it could represent could be what the Open Media architecture diagram calls the PMS or Personal Media Server provided I enable the Open Media protocol on it. I would like to tie the Audioblogging Gateway into the Open Media mesh. Is the idea to have a protocol to ping the openmedia.org servers and all other large media repositories using the same/new protocol or is the idea that I ping the Open Media server once and it continues the pings to all other servers on my behalf.

3)  Also posted on openmedia WIKI: Also, would I have to upload my MP3 files also to the Open Media servers or will the ping be used to alert the open media servers to come get my audio files from my PMS?
