geoURL mapping blogspace
I seem to be the only person in Sydney (or the mainland for that matter) who has entered the GeoURL metatags into the template of their homepage. G'Day Cobbers in Tasmania is also there. Following from Joe Jenett's tips here I've subscribed to an RSS feed based on my own position to see if news come through as more local sites install the code.
Where am I? (Part 2). GeoURL ICBM Address Server results:
sites near jenett.radio and within 500 miles
jenett.radio's coordinates on an aerial map
I'm also subscribed to a feed of the search results so that when a new site shows up near me, I'll see it in the ol' aggregator. How cool! Go add your site to the database if you haven't yet. It's easy. [jenett.radio]
Taking Joe's lead I can also periodically check out how the region gets populated by checking sites near me within a range of 5000 miles (which takes in Japan and Hong Kong and SE Asia!)
PS 12.30am: And in the last hour or so two sites in Perth have appeared: e3 - blogging the wireless freenet & DotBlog.
