Pay TV company Foxtel today assured its customers their personal details were secure, after their systems were questioned in the Australian Industrial Relations Commission (AIRC).
AIRC Commissioner John Tolley said yesterday he was concerned, as a Foxtel customer, about some of the comments made by the company's solicitor in a Melbourne hearing.
The solicitor told the commission Foxtel didn't keep detailed records of employees' email traffic.
The hearing, brought by the Australian Services Union, is an attempt to prevent a telephone sales officer being dismissed for allegedly breaching Foxtel's email policy.
