I'm running Radio on a Mac OS X machine at work and working on it remotely. I *thought* I'd crashed it as it was no longer responding. But I came back a few hours later and what do you know ... it was up and running. Wow. In the meantime I was working on getting some kind of news aggregator working on Zope. I was just trying to install a product that would do it for me. But I failed.

We gave Baba an IV (it isn't really an IV as it is just fluids under the skin) and he is doing much better. It is almost like he has come back to like. I'm so glad we didn't panic and take him to the vet.

Another thing I'm having trouble with is moving my Radio installation from one computer to another. I thought it would be as easy as moving the folder. It should be that easy, shouldn't it? But there were hard-coded paths in there and things didn't work. When I renamed my drive to match the name on my original installation things worked.

I think Radio is very cool, but I'm sorry to say it is slow. Zope is much faster. I just went to my Zope manage page it came right up. There's always a pause with Radio. Sometimes it's a long pause.

Baba is much worse. My wife gave him an IV and seems to have helped. But he can't have much longer. We are all very sad.

I think I've been thinking about Radio the wrong way. I'm not communicating with other people, I'm communicating with myself. If other people happen to read stuff and comment on it, great. But this is a record for me.

Baba seems much worse. He has no energy and is no longer even interested in eating, despite the drugs. I have put a call into the doctor to see what he has to say.
