some cool tools for Radio. I'll need to go through them and see if I can use any of them. One thing I do want is a stock listing on my desktop site. I think it should be easy to do as you can get an xml feed from Nasdaq. Then you just need to break that out into a table (and I think there is a verb for that built in to Radio). Then I just need to loop over the table and build some HTML.

I filled out the form and mailed my $10 check, figuring they would send a sticker or something to stick on my license. I was surprised to receive a new license with the updated address on Friday.
Friday. The day I broke my lease, meaning my address will change within the next month. Sigh.[random thoughts from a large head]

We went to eat at a Japanese restaurant for lunch today and they did a weird thing that I've seen at other Japanese restaurants in the US. They brought the miso shiru out first, before they brought the rest of our food. And I mean long before. That is really strange. In Japan, the miso shiru isn't really considered soup. It is more like a hot drink you have with your meal. And this particular restaurant served it with a spoon. That is really weird. In Japan you drink it straight from the bowl while using your chopsticks to eat the wakame and other goodies inside.

But you know what, Al? You choked. The easy layups you missed? Your fault. The match-point winners you tensed up and hit out of bounds? Your mistake. The clumsily, transparently different strategies and makeup artists you tried in each debate? Your call. It's not fair, Al; it sucks; it's like the lifelong honorable statesman Thomas Dewey being immortalized as a chump because one society dame quipped, "He looks like the little man on the wedding cake." But it happened, and you've got more baggage than Marley's Ghost, and you can't win again; you can only get the nomination if the party decides to write off the White House till 2008.[E.G. for Example]
I have to agree. I voted for Al in this last election. I think what happened was terrible. But if you're crying about the outcome of a close game then you have to ask yourself why the game was close in the first place. Don't let the other team come close and there won't be any confusion about who won the game when it is over.

Audio Download: Linux Kernel to be on Radio [Slashdot]: It is almost impossible to understand (at least for me) what this headline means. It turns out to be even stranger than you think, once you read the story. They are actually going to read the entire source to the linux kernel and that will be the radio transmission!

I just went back to a previous days posts and I see this crap about honesty and passion. What a bunch of crap. I'd almost be ready to delete those posts, but I think deleting posts has got to be a sin. If I wanted to write it then, I must have had a good reason, regardless of how I feel know. I almost think we shouldn't even be able to edit our posts. I edit frequently, but only right after I've posted and noticed I misspelled every word. But maybe even that is wrong. Maybe once we post we should be stuck with the post as is.

I'm working up the packaging for Captian Stuffit. But I've realized that I probably better make sure I'm legal as far as using the StuffIt SDK. You supposed to license it. But I'm using it in a free app, so I'm really hoping the license will be free. If it isn't, then I probably will just skip the whole thing.

Separating the iMac [Slashdot]: For a minute there I though they meant one of the new iMacs. "What? They beheaded an iMac?", I thought. But no. This was a revision B iMac. Whew.

So there are a fair number of people here at the Apple Store. That's a good thing.

I miss Bolo![Jonathon Delacour Unplugged]: I'd say get the new Mac. My kids love playing Bolo. They play it all the time and they've even figured out how to play against others on the Internet. Pretty cool.

There is a collection of photos comparing President Bush to a chimp. The resemblance is uncanny. But it seems that every photo I see of him has the same kind of face. Bush with his lips puckered up, obviously in the middle of strenuously making a point. Is it always the same photo, or does he always look like that?

Need to make reservations for a trip to Joshua Tree. That was the topic-of-the-day a couple of days ago. But I think I only made one post. To get the ball rolling, I offer this website: www.29palms.com.

I think my wife and I have managed to catch colds. The kids seem just as active as ever. Either they haven't caught it or they don't care. I was really zonked out last night. I didn't even feel like writing any new entries in my weblog.

News Still Counts at CNN. So Do Stars: I wondered how CNN made any money at all when there wasn't a war to cover. It looks like they are now trying to create a cult of personalities. There wasn't really any competition in the past. But now they have to contend with the likes of Fox News Channel, which is basically talk radio on television.
