Did you ever had one of those I'm retarded moments? Like trying to fix a garbage can in the middle of the rain or carrying something around in your hand or on your head and continually asking people where it is? [fuzzyraygun]
Yup. More times than I can count ":)"

Let's hear it for the Cat people in the audience! Yeah!!!! [Burningbird]

Now I've broken the pictures on my home page in the clouds messing with all that FTP stuff. Darn. I'm hoping it will fix itself eventually.

Hmm. Well I may have really messed up my Radio. I tried to make a category that would stream to an FTP site and everything went to heck after that. I'm hoping things will straighten themselves out.

After working with Radio 8.0, Blogger Pro, Graymatter, and Moveable Type this weekend (for writing assignments and for my own weblog use), I have reached a saturation point. Right at this moment, I can't stand any of them -- equally. [Burningbird]
I wonder if we can convince Burningbird to tell us what she didn't like. Might help us to decide. Oh heck, I've already decided, but still, it might be interesting to hear what somebody with as much experience as Burningbird thought.

I should have the site up in a few more days. [Spekz.com]
Looks to be up now, to me. And using the new space theme. no less. Very spiffy.

It still tickles us to no end imagining poor Kevin trying to explain why he proposed to Hugh's wife. "I didn't mean anything by it, really-- I was just doing it for stickers. Really, AtAT said they'd give me stickers if I asked your wife to marry me. Well, not your wife, but I thought she was your wife. I mean, I didn't know she was your wife, but I thought your wife was Nico. Nico. The sticker lady. Your wife was the wrong one. No, I don't mean there's anything wrong with your wife, I just meant that I'd never hit on her or anything. Because she's married to you! No, I didn't say she was ugly-- she's actually really hot. Not that I'd... AIIIIEEEEEE!!! NOT THE FACE! [As the Apple Turns Viewer Mail]

Steven gets fan mail; when teenage girls run into the actor who portrays him, they ask for hugs. He is, as perplexing as this is to us, wildly popular with the mass television-watching / computer-buying audience. [As the Apple Turns]
I'm stunned!

I don't think of the Bible, Torah or Koran as something false, I think of it as something that should be respected, even if it isn't to be taken literally. [Jeremiah's Radio Weblog]
I'll just state up front that I'm an atheist and have been as long as I can remember. In high school and college I ridiculed religion and that was just stupid. But it took me so long to figure that I could be an atheist and still respect religion.

It almost makes me wish I was an accountant, so I could fully appreciate the nuances of the deceptions. What is rather amazing is that an atmosphere existed in which this was O.K., as long as you got away with it. [MLWebblog]
Hmm. It might be cool to understanding Enron's accounting hacks the way I can understand, say, Apple's software hacks.

GoogleStak? No sooner had I finished the CSS course than Victor has come up with an idea for a new Standout Training course on Search Engine Strategies. He has a theory that it may be possible to outwit Google via a process he's dubbed the GoogleStak. I'm not convinced about the viability of such a course, nor do I believe it's possible to manipulate Google for one's own nefarious ends, or indeed for any other purpose. [Jonathon Delacour Unplugged]
What about Google Instant Messages? I'm becoming more convinced every second that Google will soon be the base for entirely new web services.

Frontier use to have this excellent feature called glossaries so if you put the names of entries in quotes they'd be automatically turned into links. I wonder if it's hiding somewhere in Radio?[Mica's Weblog]
It is. In the Radio.root look in user.html.glossary and you'll find all of the glossary entries. I just tried adding an item to my glossary and it worked like a charm. And there are already a bunch of items in there, like Radio and Apple.

money is the enemy -- give up all selfish attachment[bits]
I'm afraid I just can't agree with this. I don't think money is my enemy. I think I can become my own worsed enemy because of money. That's something to watch out for. But money itself can be my friend if I handle it correclty. Money, after all, makes the world go around :)

"That guy has too much spare time" is one of the most odious, intellectually dishonest, dismissive things a person can say.[Boing Boing]
I never thought about it that way. I've probably laughed at the "too much time" remark any number of times. I guess it really isn't funny.

I've got an idea for a new REALbasic app: Radio Composer. The problem it solves is link management. When I'm composing a post I have all these links I want to include and I find building a post with those links to be an uncomfortable experience. Posts are hard to read with links embedded in them. And the whole process of building that tags is harder than it should be. So Radio Composer would let you copy links in and keep a list of them along with their substitutions as a list in one pane. Post composition would occur in another pane. To make a substitution, you'd simply put your substitute in your composition sandwitched between some meta character, such as '#'. So #link# would be substituted with whatever link you had specified as the substitution. I guess you could build any kind of substitution you wanted. Not just links. Then you'd simply copy from the compose pane to get the correctly formed HTML onto your clipboard so that you could paste into Radio's posting form. Maybe I could even have Radio Composer perform the post for you.

I just had an interesting idea for Roadtrip USA. I'll try to visit as many Apple Stores along the way as possible, making Radio posts from each one. I just checked the list of Apple Stores and, unfortunately, there may only be abour four that are along our route. Hmmm.

It's time to acknowledge that Patriots owner Robert Kraft made a pretty shrewd move when he traded a first-round pick to the New York Jets for the rights to hire head coach Bill Belichick two years ago.[cnnsi.com]
I love it when the underdog wins. Except, of course, when it is my team.
