OK. I admit it. I am not an avid Buffy viewer. Every episode of Buffy that I' ve ever seen I've liked. I just never made it a part of my routine, somehow. Kind of the same problem I've had with West Wing and 24. All good shows. I just didn't get into the habit of watching them.

Another opinion of Buffy

Why is this season of Buffy the worst ever?

One interesting thing I noticed riding my bike. Whenever I see a spot I want to avoid, my bike seems to go right for that spot. It took me a long time to understand what the problem was. The bike goes wherever I look. So I need to look where I want to go and not look where I don't want to go. It's a little counter-intuitive.

I don't think this is a life lesson. If we only looked where we wanted to go, we'd probably miss out on a lot of life.

The San Diego zoo is everything I've ever heard. Wonderful fun. And San Diego is a beautiful city, and the people are very nice. But who designed the freeway system here? Alfred E. Neuman on drugs? [Burningbird]

Gee, thanks Burningbird. Of course, I hate the freeways here as much as anyone. But I live here, so I'm allowed to complain :)

I always feel better after I bike to work. I don't love the biking part. I often enjoy parts of it. But there are other parts (the too cold part) that I don't enjoy at all. But I like how it makes me feel and I like that it keeps my weight down (I've always had a problem with my weight).

My bike commute isn't short. It takes about an hour and a half. Forty-five minutes of that time is through a canyon. The other forty-five minutes is on streets. By far the scariest part of the ride is avoiding cars. Riding in the canyon is a piece of cake compared to that.

I really like Jonathon Delacour's new look. Very easy to read.

Stop the presses! Google is decentralizing. Wow. Breath-taking. Beautiful. So smart. What else can I say? We have to find a way to hook up our stuff with theirs. I'm sending emails right now.  [Scripting News]

A very smart move from a company who seems only to make smart moves.

I finally biked to work today, so today's topic may be about biking. I also need to do some research into the next state in our Roadtrip USA.

I think I finally have Baba working correctly again. I went down the path of deleting the category with the intention of re-adding it. But when you delete a category the category really disappears from webLogData.root. I don't think the actual posts are stored there, but it was kinda scary. Fortunately, I'd made a backup. I copied the backed-up Baba after re-adding the category and everything seemed fine. But still broken, of course. So then I tried editing the one post for the last day of January and re-adding that post to the Baba category and that seems to have fixed things.

Getting ready to bike into work. It seems warm enough, so I'm ready to give it a go. I have a whole ritual I go through. Getting my lunch ready. Packing my backpack. Filling my water bottle. Stretching. Putting on my gloves and leg straps. Then going.
