My six-year-old son has been saying and writing some very interesting things lately. Tonight he sat on my knee and said "Will, say hello to our friendship." I asked him what he meant by that but he couldn't tell me. Earlier he showed me something he had written at school: "Dear mom and dad, your love is as popular as a heart floating on the ice." What could that mean?

B&H may be a good place to look for darkroom equipment and B&W film.

Now that I have a decent SLR camera (the OM-1 I bought recently), I'm thinking of getting (back) into B&W photography. I'll need to build a darkroom and such. But I remember it being a lot of phone. This might be one good link to help.

I've been thinking about the second gold medal that was awarded to the Canadian figure skaters and I've come to the conclusion that awarding that second gold medal was a mistake. It seemed like a good idea at the time. But it has opened up a whole can of worms. Now the Russians want second gold medals to be awarded in several events. I think, perhaps, the Russians have been treated unfairly. But their attitude seems like nothing more than sour grapes. Japan had an unfair disqualification in speed skating, but all they got was an apology. Nothing was done to fix the past. And perhaps that is the way these things should be handled. Mistakes will happen. And, in some cases, unfair judging will happen as well. The best we can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen in the future. We can't fix the past without making things worse.

The UserLand server that contains my weblog appears to be down. Or the link between me and it is down. Anyway, I can't get to it :( I can't get to my referers page either.
