Reasons Why This Past Week Might Just Have Sucked:
...
3. My depression medication doesn't seem to be working this week, not since I realized that without insurance "sanity" is going to cost me $260 a month. [dooce.com]

There's a great discussion going on over at Burningbird's weblog about freedom of speech. Check it out!

NetHack 3.4.0 has just been released and looks like it should build "out-of-the-box" for Mac OS X. Cool. This is what all those other wannabe's are based on. Like Diablo and such.

Strangely enough, I want a DS-330. Why? To keep notes for my weblog :) No really. I'm not kidding. I think of stuff I'd like to put in my weblog when I'm away from my computer but I always forget when I get to the computer. I tried carrying around a notebook, but that didn't really work either. You have to carry a pencil or pen as well and that was always poking me or breaking. A voice recorder might be just the ticket.

RCSearch is a new product for Radio Community Server. It costs more than the product its targeting. Not to cast as aspersions on RCSearch. I'm sure it is a fine product. I'd like to try it out myself.
And this brings up an interesting question. If I run Radio Community Server myself then couldn't I just use it for my personal weblog without letting anybody else in? What would the advantage be? Well, for one, I could use RCSearch to find stuff. I like to put things in my weblog so I'll be able to find them later. But I don't have a search engine on my weblog, so if too many days go by, I won't be able to find it. Maybe running RCSearch on my own Radio Community Server is the solution.

Yep. Worked like a charm. That's very cool.

I'm trying to post from the machine that's running Radio, but using my hard-coded server information. Let's see if it works.

Now I need to make the server information editable in Radio Poster. Right now it's hard coded to my machine with my username and password. But that only works if I'm working remotely. Hmm. Is that really true. The difference is that when I work remotely I use the domain/ip address of the machine that's running my copy of Radio. But when I work locally I just use 127.0.0.1. But I'm betting accessing it by domain name on the local machine would work. I'll have to move Radio Poster over to the machine that's running Radio and see what happens.

I don't see anything on Scripting News about today's OPML coffee mug puzzle. There's nothing yet about the solution. I'm waiting with bated breath.

This is my second post of today. If this posts successfully, then I found my bug and fix it. Here goes :)

This is my first post of the day. I'm using Radio Poster. I had a problem with it last night. It would only successfully post once. The second time was a failure. Oh well. I think I know what the problem was and I'll see if I can now post multiple times.
