Joe Gregorio: "Finally, a table-free layout for my Radio blog!" [Scripting News]
Unfortunately, it just doesn't look very good in IE on Mac OS X :(

I think I finally have Baba working correctly again. I went down the path of deleting the category with the intention of re-adding it. But when you delete a category the category really disappears from webLogData.root. I don't think the actual posts are stored there, but it was kinda scary. Fortunately, I'd made a backup. I copied the backed-up Baba after re-adding the category and everything seemed fine. But still broken, of course. So then I tried editing the one post for the last day of January and re-adding that post to the Baba category and that seems to have fixed things.

When I get to work and I can mess with Radio "in person" I'm going to see if I can straighten out the whole dead link issue with my Baba category. Recently Dave has been ranting about link rot. It is interesting that my failed attempts to stream to FTP resulted in a kind of link rot. But hopefullly my links can be repaired.

On the RB lists there has been the usual ongoing discussion (argument?) over wherethere or not RS should concentrate on fixing all of their bugs before they work on any features. Personally, I think they are doing a fine job of walking a fine line between fixiing bugs to make current users happy while at the same time adding enough new features to lure new users. They do have to grow their business. And the new features help everybody. But some people get angry because they think RS should fix all the bugs first. But this time I'm am pleased to report that other people are fighting back for RS. One person on the list is even somebody who, in the past, has argued against RS on this point. But now he says that he has seen the light and that RS has done such a great job of fixing so many bugs in the last couple of releases that he is satisfied.
