my bad

It turns out it was my bug. I was dereferencing a NULL pointer. Bet you didn't know there can be NULL pointers in RB. Well, there can be, of course.

crash

I think that last post went out just fine (I can see it on my weblog). But it crashed REALbasic. Oh well. Such is life.

post editing

I've just implemented post editing in Radio Poster. The way it works now is that when you post your post window gets assigned the number that Radio returns. At that point if you try to send another post from the same window it is considered an edit, instead of a new post. To get a new post you have to make a new window. This may turn out to be a to hard to use, but I'm going to give it a try.

I also implemented the concept of a default server configuration. So if you enter a server configuration in a post window and check the "Default configuration" checkbox, then that configuration becomes your default configuration and every new window will have the same configuration.

We now have a Weblogs.Com page for instant outliner users [Scripting News]

I really want to be a part of the whole instant outlining thing. But I've got no Radio. Dang. I really need to write a client.

it worked!

That was pretty cool. The networking part of things worked just fine. I'm pretty impressed. There are some rough edges I'd have to work out, but things pretty much just work. Thanks REAL Software!

posting from Windows, no less

I'm posting this from the Windows version of Radio Poster. I just told REALbasic to spit out a Windows version and here I am, posting from Windows!
