StockittoMe

I just released (or re-released in this case) another great La Jolla Underground utility made with REALbasic: StockittoMe. StockittoMe fetches stock info from a Nasdaq XML feed, parses it, and displays the info in a table. It can be set to fetch the info every five, ten, or fifteen minutes. That's it :)

getting posts with Radio Poster

This experience makes me want to add the ability to fetch old posts to Radio Poster. I could let the user specify a range of post IDs to get and a folder to get them to and they could be saved one-by-one as Rado Poster documents to that folder. Once in that form they could be used to do all sorts of things. When I add a database to Radio Poster then those old posts could be imported to the db. Plus, if the use wanted to move the posts to another weblog server, that could be done as well.

I'm back

My weblog is fixed. I edited a post from a few days ago, to see if that would give Radio a kick in the butt, and it seems to have worked. All my days have been regenerated. Whew.

weblog is missing

Entire days of my April weblog are missing. My local copy of the posts exist in Radio, of course, but for some reason they are unavailable on my public weblog in the cloud. I'm not sure what the problem could be or what I would have to do to fix it. This is the kind of thing that scares me, to tell the truth. It makes me want to move the whole thing to my own local server.

woodlands theme

I see more and more Radio weblogs using the woodlands theme. I use it too. I really wanted to edit the templates to make my own look, but it takes time and talent, two things I just don't have. I have the technical skills, but that's all. I envy those people who have the skills and talent.
But the woodland theme is about the easiest-to-look-at of the themes that Radio ships with. jenett.radio has a good-looking theme and I believe it is tableless as well.
