And here is the same message in the send pane about to be sent. Notice the hokey way you specify categories :)

I thought it might be a good idea to put up some screenshots of Radio Poster. I doubt anybody really cares, but still, somebody might get a kick out of it. Here is the compose pane. Notice that bracketting something with underscores causes it to be posted wrapped in <i> tags. I put Apple in the glossary so you could see that in action.

I'm trying to send something with Radio Poster from Mac OS 9. Up until now all my development has been using Mac OS X. I need to make sure it works on an old Mac OS as well.

Oops. I see that I accidently sent the post about my wife to my REALbasic and Radio categories. I was affraid of that. Maybe I should clear categories field after every post? Not quite sure the best way to handle it.

This is a test of setting the publish flag in the newPost method to false. I think I was setting it to true. I want to see if this speeds up getting a response back from Radio.

My wife is safely in Japan. She called this morning. She flew Verig and, well, they aren't the greatest airline in the world (sorry, don't mean to offend anyone with that). Our favorite airline is Singapore Air. Economy class on Singapore Air is about equal to business class on an airline like Delta. We once got business class seats on Singapore coming back from Japan and it was heaven.

I'm saving the state of a Radio Poster document as XML. That really gives me some flexibility. For example, I now have a Global Glossary window and I save it's state in Radio Poster's prefs file. But I save that as XML as well. So the prefs file looks just like a Radio Poster document. And I can use the same code to save and restore the glossary part as the XML looks exactly the same for that part. The window state saves to XML as well and it looks the same. I get a lot of code resuse that way. But I can't yet maximize my code reuse because I can't subclass windows in REALbasic 4.0.2. I believe that's fixed in 4.5. Then I can have a base class that knows how to save and restore its properties and the global glossary window and the main document window can be subclasses. Then they'll both get the save/restore behavior for free.

Posting to my weblog with Radio Poster when I'm also posting to other categories takes a long time. I think it's because I'm telling Radio to publish and it won't send back the result until it is finished talking to the server in the cloud. I wonder what happens if I don't publish. I assume it will publish on the next go-around.

I think I've just about finished Radio Poster. I'm putting the finishing touches on it.
