But now it's looking more like New Mexico. We can see the Carlsbad Cavern, and bats!

Cowboy Hall of Fame. I'll try to visit as many Apple Stores along the way as possible, making Radio posts from each one. I just checked the list of Apple Stores and, unfortunately, there may only be abour four that are along our route. Hmmm.

Possibly a better link: Petrified Forest. And 40 goes right through it, so it should be on the way, if we are traveling on 40, which I think we will bel.

Petrified Forest National Park

I'm still looking for cool stuff to do in Arizona this week. I'm thinking that perhaps the best approach is not to have an agenda. I'll familiarize myself with some interesting things and, while driving, if we happen to pass any of them and we have time, we might stop for a look. But even given three weeks we just aren't going to have time to drive round-trip across the US and stop at a lot of attractions. Poop.

Arizona state parks

Casamalpais

Colossal Cave

Verde Canyon Railroad

Interesting Thingstodo.com fact about Arizona: "Arizona has more parks and national monuments than any other state, more mountains than Switzerland, and more golf courses than Scotland."

One thing I definitely want to do in either Arizona or New Mexico is see some Anasazi ruins.

Hmm. We have a vague idea that we may try to follow old Route 66 for some of the trip. I plan to take the trip state-by-state and find cools things to see and do. Right now I'm working on Arizona. Oh, I probably should add that we live in California, so the trip starts there. My parents live in Cincinnati, so the trip will pass through there at some point. Chicago is most likely to be our real destination.
