How Google Grows...and Grows...and Grows - Fast Company article about how Google has managed to survive beyond its peers and develop a culture of openness and innovation.

When Google bought Pyra there was all this buzz about why they did it and what was going to happen. How about this. Weblogs are personal portals individually handcrafted (with the help of news aggregators) into individual points of view/interest. Could Google turn weblogs into personal agents that could automatically search the internet for information that interests you or updates existing information. 

Your Google weblog learns what you're interested in, based on items you added to your weblog. It makes you aware of similar information. Stuff added to your weblog "trains" your agent in your likes, deleting stuff from the list "trains" your agent in your dislikes.

And now I find this link - How Blogger could do more than improve Goggle's web searches.
