  • somehow 01.22.02 fell off the calendar tonight when we were working under the hood -- here it is in case your keeping up -- no idea how that happened -- maybe it will show back up on it's own

  • we left Iran the very same day the Shah did in 1979 -- it was some scene just before the whole country fell apart and into the arms of Ayatollah Khomeni -- the 'rents were in Ireland or Scotland playing golf somewhere don't ya know and were quite surprised to hear of our whereabouts - to say the least

we had been off meditating in Switzerland and one day opened our eyes to realize that we were in a bus late at night driving down the streets of Tehran from the airport, past tanks and heavy weapons trained on us from checkpoints all along the way

it was a wacko move going there -- we we're lucky to get out when we did

reading the news the last few weeks on Iran and listening to a radio interview today with some think tank commander, it seems certain that Iran is about to come unglued again

at the same time factions in power in Iran are pumping arms to the Palestinians and supporting Hezbollah, there are more numerous protests internally -- and high stakes dissent is being voiced more stridently by members of the Iraninan parliament and by educators against the fundamentalist cleric judiciary -- there are millions and millions of people hankering for freedom in Iran -- it's the nature of life everywhere -- they're people just like you and me -- they have dreams and kids and friends and loved ones and want food and a few clothes and a roof over their head just like us

    and maybe a rug

    they can't stand oppression either

    no one can

  • uh oh -- after the 2 hour orderly install of Windows XP -- on the very first bootup we got a new type of dreaded blue screen death -- then a restart and it looks like we're good --- we're at the first setup screen -- and there's nice music

our Windowz friends are ranting and raving about XP so we decided to put it on the Dell laptop we use all the time side by side with the Cube

ok - we're activating now -- and registering -- we paid, believe it or not

soon the Beast will know everything on our network and everything we do on that laptop

ok - we're up - nice eye candy -- time to bang around on this puppy -- wonder if it knows my copy of Office is a friend's?

  • Second volcano erupts in Congo

    Mount Nyamuragira

Professor Wafula -- the lone and basically unpaid and poorly equiped vulcanologist there God bless him -- on the ground voiced doubt if Nyamuragira had erupted -- they're taking a helicopter out to take a look see asap

there's a big threat of eruptions spreading through the whole Rift Valley

  • the first Enron goat -- is traipsed out for public viewing and takes the 5th -- as CEO Lay resigns

these guys should all be headed to the klink -- watch the lawyers work the system with hardly a word of truth spoken

they'll all walk - in step - blabbing about the nature of the system and accepted business practice - boo hoo crocodile tears and reptile slithering hoods sleezing on their bellies and grovelling in the pit of fear and greed

if the public and shareholders and employees are lucky someone will be granted immunity and roll on all these "evil ones"

    don't bet on it

    justice marches on, people

    right on all over you

    when it means business

there'z layers and layers of meaning in all this -- for the biggest bankruptcy and criminal business misconduct to blow up during this time speaks volumes about where we stand in history

    terrorism is everywhere
