something about IE 5.1 in OS 10.1.2 is verklempt
pages render in Netscape 6.2 and IE 5.1 quickly and completely - under both Classic in OS X and in 9.2 -- but not so with IE 5.1 under OS X -- it just hangs and you can watch the download speed drop to zero during http transfer
