oiy -- upstreaming has been a pain all day -- it's time for an analgesic
4:36:13 PM

Quicktime RTSP stream: Sanaiscaraya
4:25:58 PM

Apple's stock is trading at 14 beans and a little rice -- it's cheap and a probably a good buy before the 4th quarter run up they often have -- but it's going to be a while before the good old salad days are served up again -- how much more than a dual 1.25 GHz processor do you need after all?

the 23" Cinema HD Display is another matter -- that lucky dirty dog friend of ours Levitus has 2 of 'em side by side on his desk
2:37:06 PM

what the heck does opprobrium mean? sounds like a bromide -- we'll check in with ol' Mr. dictionary.com in a sec

that nice big begin the topic sentence word is the introduction to an example some lame writing over there at the NYTimes -- this article on Iraq's view of the world by John F. (as in the grade you get for it) Burns has got to be the most canned, rehashed piece of nothing new we've read in months

it's an opprobium alright (<--- a nonstandard usage -- it's "all right" -- if you're standard) and yes Mr. Burns, bromide fits-- see 2.a. and 2b. before taking 1.b. for the gas you are passing
2:20:37 PM

in addition to the McD's bombing in Moscow we just got a couple of news pieces in from our friend in Denmark about the bombings in Corsica and the Russian governor who was shot and killed in Moscow yesterday

bupkiss in US media of course -- except for the one buried at CNN and the hamburger shrapnel story on the Foxnews website with a big stupid picture of Brit Hume --- who we like and all -- but hey Mr. Foxnews Webmaster -- it's the wrong image -- go nab the one over at BBC or something

General Norm has the quote of the year
1:14:43 PM

Mitch Ratcliffe from the precipice:

"The Internet auction site eBay reported that its revenues have grown by 73 percent over the year-ago quarter. I submit that, except for eBay shareholders, this is bad news. It demonstrates that vast amounts of product have been dumped by failed or failing companies, that consumers are shoring up their budgets by selling collectibles (I've noticed the price of baseball cards, which I collect, have fallen steadily over the past year) and that retailers, who can now list excess inventory on eBay, are dumping overstock on the site. All of that points to slack demand for new equipment, lower retail sales and fewer jobs in the coming year."

we'd hang on to those baseball cards -- collectibles are going to go up in value -- whatever "value" is of course

we registered eternalhoneymoon.com today for the true story we are working on together here on the home front

here's a pict of the Alesis QS8 synthesizer we've been having so much fun on -- and here's the biggest tip we can share about playing piano, or any instrument -- the most gifted musicians we know agree completely:

if you're blessed with an ear good enough to hum or sing along and you can hear some simple harmonies and have a love for music -- forget about learning to read and learning all the chords, notes or changes for a while -- just move your fingers around -- it may take a few weeks and then it'll come zooming forth from within

we hung out with just the white keys at first -- now we can play along with anything we hear and those black keys have gotten in on the action too

it works just like you always imagined it should -- it just takes love -- and some jacking into the gene code

thanks for That

we just popped for another Radio license and are going to try and spend some more time working on our DharmaGems site too -- like we don't have enough going on
11:22:14 AM

you really think that sniper team was careless enough to leave a shell casing in the white cargo van found at the rental agency near Dulles airport? -- if so, it was done deliberately and probably left with a note we'll never read -- our bet is that those boys have flown the country or moved on to another city
10:20:25 AM

Transcendental Money -- 2 years later this still remains our favorite DaveNet -- it's well worth the read
9:21:27 AM

let's see how long it is before any western media pick up on the report at DEBKA that Bin Laden is in Saudi Arabia -- you can be sure that US satellites are looking
