April fools... A friend of mine and I are in the midst of building out a random Intel box to be used as a headless database server. The base OS is a Knoppix based Debian system. The monitor that is being used to build out the machine is normally attached to my wife's OS X system. She has deep experience with many versions of both Windows and Macintosh. My friend and I had forgotten to move the monitor cable back from the Linux box to the Mac when my wife sat down to use the machine. After about 20 seconds of futzing with the Linux desktop, her response: "Is this an April fool's day joke?" Heh. 5:34:00 PM
