TiVo is raising their monthly price to $12.95
Ugh, this is awkward for me. They want me to sign up for the "lifetime" service instead, for $200, but my TiVo is an old 14-hour unit so I hestitate to invest any more in this particular model. However, I'm not going to run out and buy a larger one anytime soon.
If I continue to pay the monthly, at the new rate, it will take about 15 months for me to equal the value of the lifetime service. I'm just not sure that this TiVo will last another 15 months -- it's my 3rd unit. (The other two both died a horrible hardware failure death.) What would you do?
