Winnemucca
Whew, coming home after a road trip feels almost as good as leaving
did. On our last night we stayed at a quite nice Best Western in
Winnemucca, Nevada. (A favorite town of Dane Carlson.) The place was
pet friendly, modern, and nicely appointed.
I've only driven thru Winnemucca in the past, and never stayed beyond
just long enough to gas up, grab a bite to eat, and stretch my legs.
That's too bad, it has a much better vibe than Elko (which is where we
stayed on the first night of the trip). For one thing, the upcoming
"MWF Wrestling" event didn't seem so heavily promoted in Winnemucca.
That's "micro wrestling" -- as in midgets, in case you didn't know. Ugh.
