Mind mapping
I don't pretend to understand the whole "mind-mapping" approach to
brainstorming and thinking, but because I like organizational and
outlining software, I find myself evaluating lots of these kinds of
tools. The latest I've found, for Mac OS X, is NovaMind.
From a purely aesthic point of view, it's much better than ConceptDraw.
I particularly like the way the layout assistant works -- as you move a
concept around in the workspace it's automatically colored and a
ghost-like image shows you where it will land on the page.
