Elite's ineptness implodes

Gee, big surprise that Elite Computer is having financial problems. They tried to fool consumers into thinking they were the excellent ComputerWare (by buying their name, but not their spirit) but they're still collapsing in a flurry of finger pointing.

Dear Elite, here's what you don't want to hear. I'm a customer. I bought an iMac from you. I never spent a single dime in your store thereafter for the following reasons -- you charged extra (beyond the ticketed price) for using a credit card. Your price stickers never revealed this, it wasn't until the sale was underway that it would be brought up. Additionally, you charged over MSRP for most of your items. For example, you sold Diablo II for $69. A FireFly hard drive that lists for $199 was $259 in your store.

You're failing because you think customers are stupid and you're price gougers. Look in the mirror and you'll find the source of all your problems.

Macintouch tentatively clues in

Seeming begrudgingly, Macintouch has finally added an RSS feed. (http://www.macintouch.com/rss.xml) It's one of my favorite gossip-as-news websites, and just about the last site in general that I had to visit in my web browser in order to read.

Now if ChezMark would issue a feed I'd have all of my favorite Mac haunts in NetNewsWire.
