Mergemill
At first I thought Mergemill was just a hurried Windows port, but later I realized it is built with the 4D runtime so some of the obvious UI problems might be inherent in the framework. Nonetheless, it seems to have a flexible template method of exporting from a database to HTML and similar. I'm particularly intrigued by the logic and conditions it purports to support. Need to examine this further, if I can bring myself to disregard the awkward appearance.

Who needs another word processor?
Well, I do. I don't particularly care for Microsoft Word, but there are some things it does much better than any other. For me, these items are Styles and Tables. With all due respect to AppleWorks and Nisus, Word's implementation of these two critical features is wonderful.
But today I stumbled across Mellel. An upstart little app that really surprised me. A nice list of features, and a styles and tables implementation that, well, doesn't appear to suck. I've got to give it more of a spin, but I have to say that I'm impressed. Well worth checking out.

I wish...

Wouldn't it be great of TV shows that have guests/topics published RSS feeds with their weekly schedules? I'd love to be able to subscribe to a feed from CBS Late Show with David Letterman, for example. Oprah, 20/20, 60 Minutes, The View, Regis and Kelly. C'mon, it's simple and your viewers will love it. And of course, the next step would be a little script that added the show to TiVo's queue with a click or two.
