Jiggle
A new freeware from app from Stick Software might come in handy. Jiggler
will move your mouse occasionally while you're away from your computer,
ensuring that the system doesn't go to sleep.
One use I'll have for this is at home, where I sometimes use my
PowerBook as a fileserver. I use fairly aggressive energy saver
settings to eek out the greatest battery life, and sometimes I find
that the 'book has gone to sleep before I have a chance to connect to
it using another computer. (What can I say? I guess I'm easily
distracted.)
