I recently asked one of the teachers at our neighborhood grade school about pressure to favorably present the gay lifestyle. She responded that teachers in our school district were actually under intense pressure to present a "balanced" viewpoint - neither negative nor positive. I guess National Education Association leadership is ready to change that position.
