I have some issues with Spotlight (queries are pretty slow, and I wish I could bring up a big, detailed, search window right from the spotlight menu item). In addition, I wish I could specify boolean operators ("venus NOT planet", or "venus AND greek", for example.) However, it looks like I can. Trying the NOT operator here, I couldn't get it to work, but several other queries worked for me.
