Leopard: Mystery #1: Media Keys on my Logitech

So I have a Logitech keyboard with Previous Track/Next Track/Pause/Stop and a volume control wheel. I didn't install the Logitech drivers under Leopard, because.. well, I don't trust them (and they use APE - Thanks Daring Fireball! APE isn't ready for Leopard yet, but I don't think I want the Logitech Control Center on my Leopard install anyway.)

Without the drivers I had assumed none of my extra keys would work. That's fine, I can live, it's a nice keyboard anyway.

But no: all my media keys work under Leopard. Too weird.

Now, of course, this Logitech Keyboard has some more keys: keys that you can set up to launch your email, Messenger/SMS, "iTouch" (no, not the iTouch), Search... etc. These don't work.. but I didn't use them anyway. I used the media keys most, and that's what works, mysteriously, under Leopard.
