I just got done watching the Cubs blow yet another game, this time against the Arizona Diamondbacks. It seems the Cubs are mindlessly cruising towards the end of another losing season as the mental mistakes pile up. The only good news from this season for the Cubs is that Don Baylor is gone.

I also bought Bruce Springsteen's, The Rising. This album is the first studio album that he has done since Born In the U.S.A., and most of the songs were written after 9/11. If you buy this album looking for the jubilant, fist pumping that Born In The U.S.A provides, you'll be disappointed. The album is laid back, and thoughtful. But, I don't know if that is what people expect from the Boss.

Thursday night I bought Nickel Creek's latest, This Side. Not bad, it has more vocals on it than their debute album, and I am on the fence about whether that is good or bad.
