Our Posthuman Future

Fukuyama is at it again. Having jumped the gun on "The End of History" (no one really disputes that Western capitalism is the best form of society, eh?), he is now holding forth on the perils of biotechnology.

I'll probably have to read the book in order to have a truly informed negative opinion about it, but I urge you to read this article in the New York Times (free registration required) to get an overview. Time permitting, I'd like to go through what the Times says he asserts and respond point by point. But I'm too tired tonight.
