Wednesday

I had absolutely no trouble getting to the school. I allowed an hour and half and it took me an hour and five minutes. I did some of the my homework on the way. We have two quizzes tomorrow. I think that's unfair! The lesson went well. She gave me quite a bit of work to do, but not a real lot.

I did my fingernails with a combinatino "Classy Claret" and "Frosty Salmon". Believe it or not it turned out kind of a nice metallic pink. With that Max Factor lip goss (just a tiny bit) I really look hot stuff. I'm wearing my pink suit tomorrow just for the hell of it.

I'm going to take my stop watch to school for Friday. I'm more used to using it that I am Ditzler's. I'd better start my French paper one of these days.

I had very few things written down in my "Daily Notes" and they're not very interesting. I"ll have to do better than that. I played (sort of) part of the concerto with D. It didn't sound too cool. He's not a terribly good violinist. Oh well. We'll see if I can hack it. We have orchestra again Friday. Quel drag. That means I have to bring my poor baby flute to the rough-tough soccer game. My arm was sore all day from where JG whacked me. I said, holding up the stake for him yesterday, "Don't hit me." Which he promptly did. Thanks. I've got to look over my Jap. Hist. notes. That's all for today, sorry.

Saturday

For some reason I just didn't find time to write Thursday. I think it's because I just scrapped all my homework and went to bed. I got nine hrs. of blessed sleep. Yesterday I had a very good reason for not writing. I went to the soccer game (bien sur), and kept track of "shots on goal" as well as a thousand and one other things. I lugged the first aid and oranges and gatorade around, thus explaining my stiff arms this morning. Then I came home and dashed around, and meditated, ate a hurried meal, and Dad drove us over the Fs who took us to the AH concert. And was that ever a gas! All those neat, neat people. And there were two special surprises. Ds and DM! I garked. It was really nice to see Ds. He had S with him. I still think he's the best oboist I've ever heard. He was really surprised to hear that I knew SU. DM was sort of nonchalant until I said good-bye and started to leave. He came up to me and thanked me for my letter, and said that he would write back but that he's too busy. I think that perhpas it's because he doesn't write English particularly well. I do thik he'll make a very good doctor. He asked me to write "whenever I get bored." I must say the whole thing made me feel really good. I was hyper during the whole concert. J and J and E were all going to Harvard Sq. today and I wanted to go too but things kinda got screwed up around here. So I stayed home and cleaned and did some reading, and watched the Harvard Crimson cream the Cornell Reds. Yay rah and what all. 'N was really nice to me Friday and I appreciated it. I of course would appreciate a bit more attention from JG. Funny how I persist in these ridiculousnesses. Always go for the older types. Does this mean that I'll always go for 22 yr olds (circa) or always go for types 6 yrs older or whether I'll marry someone my age when I'm twenty-two myself? An interesting although pointless question.

Well it looks like it'll be some time before I get that check from R. Next time I'm going to insist that I know the full amount before I even think of putting my flute to my lips. This happened to me before, and then I swore I'd never let it happen again. Hah!

The people from school at the concert like it. That's nice. Perhaps we'll sell even more tickets next time. Well, I'm going to stop now, more later perhaps.

Monday

I can't believe I didn't write yesterday. I don't know why I didn't. The Ms came and so on. GBYSO was OK. The wind orch. wants people to sign up for concerto auditions. I will, if I can find a piece. I'll ask Ms. B. Seems a bit dumb. HMM. I got into aluminum wire and Hawaiian nuts and made a really nice necklace and pair of earrings. I finished my bead and thong necklace too. I have the hiccups. I wore a dress. JG didn't show up (figures, it's Veteran's day) so I didn't go to soccer practice. DB took attendance for me. I must admit he's awfully nice. Very agreeable. I wonder how long that'll last.

PSATs tomorrow morning. I could gab for hours but I want to get some sleep. More tomorrow, I promise.
