I called the system guy from the network I probably want to use in the near future if it was possible to work on the network with an Apple. He thought it was possible although he advised me to use a Windows machine, he said; "You'd better use a normal computer". I'd would probably work but it's very difficult to connect it with the network, because of preferences of the network he told me and they didn't support it.
After that I decided to call Apple and ask some advise. According to them it was all nonsense. I wouldn't be any problem to connect an Apple to the network, because there were no difficult network preferences, certainly not with OSX!
So I am pretty confused at the moment still not sure what is true!
