Slow and steady wins the race. Particularly if everyone else falls over and you're Australian speed skater Stephen Bradbury, who told the SMH :
I just went into the semi-final planning to sit on the back and look for accidents or collisions or something so I could sneak up the inside if any accidents happened and they all went down again. Same deal in the final. Obviously I'm not the fastest skater but they were my tactics and they worked like a charm.
Roy and H.G. interviewed Stephen on The Ice Dream last night and he came across as a charming guy, under no illusions that he'd been somewhat lucky on the night. But he had a game plan and it worked, twice in a row.
