Not just for spreading on toast. Thermal transfer compound is "the stuff you put between your CPU and your CPU cooler, to aid in the transfer of heat from the former to the latter." So why has Dan Rutter included toothpaste and Vegemite in his comparative review of different premium thermal transfer compounds? "Because they work just as well, that's why. Well, they sort of do."
