My brother sent this to me a few months ago and I just got around to reading it:
Donald Rumsfeld briefed the President this morning.
He told Bush that 3 Brazilian solders were killed in Iraq.
To everyone's amazement, all the color drained from Bush's face, then
he collapsed onto his desk, head in hands, visibly shaken, almost in
tears.
Finally, he composed himself and asked Rumsfeld,
"Just exactly how many is a Brazilian?"

E train from LIRR/Suthpin to 71st Continental. The front window was very dirty.
Sunset over the harbor, taken from water taxi pier in the East River just below Wall Street. It is a sequence of stills put together in a Quicktime movie. The individual images are at .25 seconds.
Found a time lapse video I made in May 2001. I put a web camera at my window and had it take a picture every 15 seconds and then left for work. I returned home later that evening and this is the result:
I was awakened early this morning by the sound of fire engines going down the street. Usually I fall back to sleep as they continue down East Broadway past my window; but this morning they stopped in front. Now I was awake. I live in an old tenement and with the engines stopped just outside; it was time to investigage. I looked out the window and saw that the main activity was two doors down so I could put on some clothes and go out on the fire escape and take some pictures.
Here is a video pan of the engines that showed up for the show. It is taken using the video mode of my Canon PowerShot A95:
