At the end of Sara Roosevelt Park there is a song bird garden. It is at Delancey Street end of the section of the park that goes from Grand Street to Delancey Street. The men gather in the morning and put their song birds out so they can sing. I have only been by it a few times so I don't know the protocols at all.

I think that they were covered because of the cold and the wind. I think I remember them being completely uncovered in the summer mornings.

the birds just sing and sing whether or not they are uncovered.
