I don't want to appear as taking advantage of the people who seem to live on the street by taking their picture, but they are a reminder that all is not well in this city and country. It also reminds me that there is a very thin line separating having a place to live and homelessness.
Of cause I am making the assumption that because one gentleman is wearing a plastic garbage bag (it wasn't raining that day) and feeding his cat while on a blanket on Seventh Avenue between 57th and 58th Streets they are people of the street.

I was surprised it took so much time for someone to dig up the newly paved road. It was almost 3 months. This must be a record in NYC.
