I've had a number of questions about how to access the font panel. Short answer: it's built in to any application built using Apple's Cocoa development frameworks and by default you can simply choose "Show Fonts" in the application's Format menu. For example, you can check out the font panel in the system text editor "TextEdit" or our built-in Mail application.
In Jaguar, this feature is now available to Carbon developers too but it requires that they add it specifically to their applications.
